Guide to International Championship Events

I spent a decade in confusion when it came to agility world teams. Seminars and classrooms were full of “former world team members”.

As I gained experience I came to realize that there were multiple international events and multiple teams from the USA. But it took several more years of living and breathing the sport before I could explain these events to a newcomer.

In this week’s podcast, Jennifer Crank and I outlined 4 major international events:

  • IFCS World Agility Championship (WAC)
  • World Agility Open (WAO)
  • European Open (EO)
  • FCI Agility World Championship (AWC)

In the chart below, I’ve summarized the differences and added the EOJ Team (European Open Juniors).
