We showed you the usefulness of the 270-Serpentine maneuver in another article, but we didn’t show you how to teach it to the novice dog from the ground up. As you might have guessed, your dog must have a basic understanding of angled approaches and serpentine handling before you can teach this advanced skill. After that, careful placement of your rewards will teach your dog the rest. Watch the video below and notice the arm changes and toy placement. If you are having trouble getting yourself from one side of the jump to the other, move the wings closer together. This single training session was done in about 3-4 minutes.
