April 30, 2025 Wednesday Wrap Up (Ludwig, AKC/FCI WTT, Success Cycle)

Reader Mailbag: Ludwig

Thank you to everyone who joined in on the dog-to-human fun over the past week! Some of you created AI versions of your dogs in human form on your own and sent them to me (I shared my favorites with Hannah), while others sent me photos and let me take care of it—either way, I hope you loved the results. I always enjoy these kinds of back-and-forths with readers, and I answer every single email. So don’t hesitate to write in—especially if you’ve got a great show recommendation.

Speaking of great shows, if you’re looking for your next binge-worthy mystery, Ludwig might be it. Now streaming on BritBox (available via Amazon Prime Video in the U.S.), this gripping British drama was recommended by a loyal reader who said, “If you liked The Residence, you’ll probably also like Ludwig.” She was right. And as she added—“You can’t beat the soundtrack!” Right again. We won’t give anything away, but if you’re into layered characters, sharp writing, and a story that keeps you thinking long after the credits roll, Ludwig is brilliant!

AKC/FCI Agility World Championship Team USA Tryouts

This past weekend (May 3–5), the AKC held Team USA Tryouts for the FCI Agility World Championship at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, Missouri. The courses were especially challenging this year, with low qualifying rates that tested even the most seasoned teams. Under first-year coach John Nys, three of the four team members in each jump height earned automatic spots based on performance. Among them are Jennifer Crank and her Sheltie Bee, who won two of the four rounds and earned a spot on the team in the Medium height class. She’s joined by BDA Sponsored Athlete Sarah Baker and her Wocker Skeptic, who made the team for an impressive third consecutive year.

And speaking of progress… ever wonder what’s behind the success of so many agility teams—especially the ones reaching national finals or earning spots on World Teams? For hundreds of handlers, the answer is the Bad Dog Agility VIP Program. In fact, 14% of the finalists at this year’s AKC Nationals were VIP members—that’s about 1 in every 7 teams! If you’ve enjoyed our free articles, podcasts, and training tips, imagine having direct access to personalized feedback from me, Sarah, and Jennifer, plus exclusive courses and seminars designed to help your team level up.

Whether you’re aiming for your first Q or refining your handling for tighter, faster runs, VIP gives you the tools, structure, and support to reach your goals—and have a lot more fun doing it.

Enrollment is open now, but only for five days. We only open the doors once a year—so if you’ve been thinking about joining, now’s the time.
