Sarah here!
Mailbag
Last week we asked if you have ever Facetimed your dog. There were two answers in particular that I found interesting. Ashleigh drew a comparison with dogs in the ICU. She pointed out that when owners visit and then leave, dogs who had previously settled will cause all kinds of trouble, twisting their IV lines, etc. So it’s not always a net positive. Then Collene fessed up to NEVER having Facetimed anyone or anything, ever. But Collene, how can I fix all the technology in the house if Esteban can’t show me the buttons and lights and error messages? ๐
Q1 Rankings
I posted the Q1 rankings today and 500 of you have already found them (even though I haven’t even posted on Facebook yet!). These rankings represent January through March 2026. The Power 60 (and it’s Preferred counterpart) represent the fastest dogs at each height across breeds. Note that there IS a requirement that each dog have at least 5 standard runs and 5 jumpers runs to be part of the ranking. Interestingly, there were no dogs that met that criteria for 24″C. Only 14 dogs ran in Masters in that height during the quarter. With it no longer being a part of NAC, I wonder if that height designation will go away in the near future?
The Breed 10 ranks the top dogs per breed per height and does NOT have the same 5 and 5 requirement (it requires 1 standard run and 1 jumpers run).
Congratulations to all of these teams on making the list! Check back near the end of July for the mid year (January – June) rankings!
