Welcome to the BDA Weekly! I wrestled the keyboard from Esteban for this week’s newsletter which may not be the best plan since I had a 200 point gap between my verbal and math SAT scores and I’m pretty sure my seven-year-old is better at spelling than I am. But I do make a mean graph…
The 2017 AKC Agility Invitational
The AKC Agility Invitational will be held this weekend celebrating the diversity of breeds within our great sport. We decided to celebrate that diversity ourselves with statistics and pretty pictures.
What’s Your Breed’s Ceiling?
The tables and charts below show the ONE fastest dog per breed in each height class. This gives you an idea of a breed’s ceiling. If you hope to go faster than that, you will have to become THE fastest dog in your breed. We all know that certain breeds dominate the sport, but this data will show you which breeds (and individual dogs) are hot on their tails.
Notes: These statistics are based on each dog’s PowerScore from July 1, 2016 – July 1,2017. The histogram chart shows you the distribution of these dogs based on PowerScore, essentially grouping dogs with similar PowerScores.
