I spent a decade in confusion when it came to agility world teams. Seminars and classrooms were full of “former world team members”.
As I gained experience I came to realize that there were multiple international events and multiple teams from the USA. But it took several more years of living and breathing the sport before I could explain these events to a newcomer.
In this week’s podcast, Jennifer Crank and I outlined 4 major international events:
- IFCS World Agility Championship (WAC)
- World Agility Open (WAO)
- European Open (EO)
- FCI Agility World Championship (AWC)
In the chart below, I’ve summarized the differences and added the EOJ Team (European Open Juniors).
Event | Event Org | USA Affiliation | Jump Heights | Allows Mixed Breeds | Time of Year |
